Metalspun Products Co., Inc. offers stainless steel hydroforming of hemispheres, cones, shells, and other custom shapes. Hydroforming is a very versatile process and can often provide both cost and quality advantages over other shaping processes. These 316 marine grade stainless steel float shells are used in a pressure vessel application for our customer in the marine industry located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The 7.50″ diameter shells are fabricated to tolerances of +0.010″/-0.000″. The shell blanks are circle cut and punched in-house, allowing us to provide the customer with a single source for this complete part. After forming and fabrication, all parts are trimmed, deburred, and inspected to ensure all tolerances and specifications are met.
We produce 275 of these shells per order with a lead time of 4-5 weeks. Our versatile forming and machining operations are an excellent fit for a range of production volumes and shapes ranging from standard hemispheres to intricate custom parts.
